Boundless Radiant Horizons

This title encourages a mindset of curiosity and courage, embracing the journey of personal growth and exploration beyond the familiar confines of our present experiences. This photo symbolizes the journey into the unknown with optimism and openness. The horizon represents the boundary of our current understanding, and the endless expanse of the sea and sky signifies limitless potential and opportunities. The light reflecting on the water adds a sense of hope and clarity, suggesting that even in the unknown, there is guidance and promise.

Logo

I made a logo for promoting the course of multimedia arts. I look for a vector of a girl with a laptop, director's cut board, a camera, drawing tablet, web designer and a paint brush. I use all of this to really look or standout the 'Multimedia Arts' course.

Decorative Font - Typography

  • "Flammable" I use a tall, light and bold font here so that my font would look clean and precise. I use the color of the flame and make it gradient, so it really looks like I represent here on the text the 'flame' vibe here and just a plain dark orange-ish color on the depths. On this font I tried to make it look like a 'fire' that's why, but it didn't result on what I expected, but it kinda looks like it for me so I this is my final presentation for the "Flammable" font.

  • "Poisonous" On this text I use a sharp and bold font, first I did a 2 copy of fonts and colored it teal and dark teal and after that I made it gradient and longer for the 'smokey' effect on the bottom of the text as you can see it looks messy because I didn't blend or liquify the extra colors on the base text because I don't want to ruin the main text. I use liquify for the 'smokey' effect and blend it until it looks good. My idea here is a "Poison gas" that's why you can see here a smokey text.
  • "Beware of Dogs" For me, this is the most simplest typography I've made. I did vector a dog and put a text on it and I adjust it a little so that can fit the text on the body of the dog. Also, the text I use here are simple, just a font with curves and thick. I don't want to do anything here anymore, because it may lose the meaning or the main object of this.

  • "Multimedia Arts" This is my second favorite font I ever made. I use a simple font again, because I don't want to ruin the layers you see at the back of the texts here, and I love the color I choose the color is base on 'sunset' and the result really satisfies me.
  • "Be Safe from COVID 19" In here I use a text that is light and thick so that it can fit on the object, I made it really simple. I chose a dark gray here, because we all know that Covid-19 made a huge impact on us, and it's not easy to deal with. I really like the shadow grainy event I made here, for me, it represents the Covid itself because Covid is an airborne type of virus. So please be safe everyone this is an awareness for all to wear your mask and disinfect always.

Introduction by Host #2 (Karylle Rea)

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): Good morning people, welcome to Artsthetic. I'm Karylle Rea and the other host is Janela Mae Torno. Today we're featuring two amazing artists named Isa Berna Virtudazo and Kriztia Fariñas who are both 19-year-old Multimedia Students! Find their way into multimedia arts by surrounding people, school activities and their passion about art. Today we'll be talking about their journey to know their own style of art.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): We're going to start with Ms. Isa Berna Virtudazo, please introduce yourself to the people, and we can proceed to the question and answer session.

*entry of guest #1*

Guess #1 (Isa Virtudazo): Hi everyone, my name is Isa Berna Virtudazo, a 19-year-old multimedia student of UPHSD. I've been drawing for 5 years.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): Alright now we met the first amazing artist today, I'm going to proceed to ask some questions. What is your favorite art piece that you have done?

Guest #1 (Isa Virtudazo): I think my favorite artwork that I have done is when I was in senior high school. It was when I painted for my performance task, and it was also my first time using oil paint. I was really amateur when it comes to using the oil paint, however I think it looked nice for a first timer and I think there is still some room for improvement. What I really like in that artwork is the context, and I was really satisfied with the meaning or the explanation that I gave in my painting.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): That’s very amazing! When did you find interest in art?

Guest #1 (Isa Virtudazo): I was interested in art craft when I was in high school and when it comes to my projects I really love to spend my time with the design instead of the content. And It was in grade 9 that I started to take interest in painting and drawing because others encourage me to a contest and my role there is in editorial cartooning.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): That’s really nice that someone’s encouraging you to join a contest. Okay, next question, what defines your artistic style?

Guest #1 (Isa Virtudazo): To be honest I don’t really know how to answer this question because I still haven’t found my own art style and it is still not consistent. However, What I want to achieve is an art style like Lisa Hanawalt. Where it has vivid colors and a really detailed look.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): As an artist too, it’s really hard to find your own art style. What is the definition of art to you?

Guest #1 (Isa Virtudazo): Art for me is an activity where you can express your feelings. Art is not all about just aesthetics and how pleasing it is for your eye, but it is also how your art can solve problems and bring impact to the world.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): Yes that's my opinion on art too, it is another way to express your feelings. For the last question, what is the unique thing about your artwork?

Guest #1 (Isa Virtudazo): I think the unique thing about my artwork is that you can see my own personality through it.

Host #1 (Janela Mae Torno): We already met the first feature artist on Artsthetic! Thank you for your time and answering my questions, Ms. Isa Berna Virtudazo had a great day. Now let's proceed to the 2nd and last artist, interviewed by the 2nd host as well Karylle Rea.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): Hello and good day everyone, I'm your host for the next guest, Karylle Rea. The first artist has an amazing story in the journey of her art. Now let's talk more about how these two feature artists the best. Let's welcome the 2nd and last guest for today, Ms. Kriztia Fariñas.

*entry of guest #2*

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): Hello I'm Kriztia Fariñas, a multimedia art student in UPHSD. 19 years old, took interest in art when I was in high school.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): Hello and welcome Ms. Kriztia Fariñas, it's a great opportunity to meet an amazing artist like you and participate in our show. Let's proceed to the questions and answer session now. What is your favorite art piece that you have done?

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): Thank you for having me here today. The very first proper digital art that I've finished. Every time I look at it, I remember the struggles I went through. It started on May 2018 but finished it on Nov 19, because I was close to giving it up.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): Good thing you choose not to give up to the talent given to you. Okay, next question, when did you find interest in art?

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): When I was in 9th grade. I was surrounded with very creative people that inspired me to pursue arts and a lot of my projects in school that time involves painting or drawing, that's why it made me love it more.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): That is really nice that you're surrounded by creative people and inspired you to do art. Next question, what defines your artistic style?

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): It's messy and textured, my inspirations are Sinix Design and Loish, I work hard to be as good as them someday. I just recently found my art style that I'm satisfied with, but I'll surely experiment more.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): It takes time to find your own art style well good for you, you already found your own art style that satisfies you as well. Proceed to the next question, what is the definition of art to you?

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): It's my outlet of stress. In school whenever I have lots to do, I get stress and that's when I feel like drawing. After finishing an artwork, I feel relieved.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): That's right after you finish an artwork, the stress will fade away, and you can feel the satisfaction and relief. Last question for Ms. Kriztia Fariñas. What is the unique thing about your artwork?

Guest #2 (Kriztia Fariñas): I'm also still figuring out my uniqueness, but I believe that each artwork is unique since it is made by artists that are unique as well.

Host #2 (Karylle Rea): Alright, we already met and know the story of these two amazing artists. It is nice to know how they struggle, the way to express their feelings or stress by doing an art, how they're still progressing in art and becoming the artist they want in the future. Thank you all, and also I would like to thank our guest for today again.

Guest #1 and #2 (Kriztia & Isa): Thank you again for letting us have here, and have an opportunity to tell our story as an artist.

*exit of guest #1 and #2, then proceeds to host #1*

Final: Portfolio

This is my final portfolio, I use my unfinished work here because I have a lot of unfinished drawing that I don't have time to finish it. Digital art and edit by me.
My portfolio was inspired by Instagram, because all you have to do is post a photo of your art and everybody will see it, it's a different process on Facebook, so I choose Instagram, because most of the people using it and I like to share my art even though it's unfinished and still everyone likes it.

New Typography

For this activity, I saw a girl which is on the photo on Pinterest and I decided to use her on my activity, because she fits on my concept and my concept is inspired by the song Ghost Town by Chloe George. The girl on the photo is relaxing and for that moment she felt free. I edited this using Adobe Illustrator and I look on Dafont website for the perfect font on it and I put some texture or wavy text on her back, so that really fits on my concept and change the color of the original photo to red palette so that the font and the photo are the same.

Illusion of Motion

For this activity I did this on traditional art way, I don't want to draw it digitally. I drew a hand catching a piece of feather, I took a photo of it when the moment I'm going catch the feather and I think that this would be a perfect concept for Illusion of motion.
